Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s single largest fundraising event and it is a community-owned & all volunteer driven activity.Each year more than 3.5 million people in 5,000 communities in the United States, along with additional communities in 20 other countries, gather to take part in this global phenomenon and raise much needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer and support the Society’s mission: “…dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives & diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy & service”.

Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is a life-changing experience that gives everyone in our community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost & fight back against the disease. The event for 2010 will be held June 18th-June 19th from 6pm Friday evening until 10am Saturday morning at Balloon Fiesta Park.

There are many ways to support your community’s Relay For Life. Those interested in participating can start a new team with friends, family or co-workers, or join an existing team.
