NM Employee of the Quarter for July, 2010 is Ruben Mendez. Ruben is a plumbing foreman who has been employed with MBI since June, 1988. Ruben’s training, knowledge and leadership was put to the test back in February, 2010 when a co-worker suffered a severe injury on the job. Ruben’s training, quick thinking and calm demeanor allowed him to immediately take control of the medical emergency. Ruben didn’t hesitate to apply a tourniquet and life saving first aid while keeping his fellow co-worker alert and calm until paramedics arrived. Paramedics noted that Ruben’s actions quite possibly saved a life that day – what Ruben did that day was truly heroic and we’re very proud that he’s a member of the MBI family.
